Almost everybody fell in love with Spain as they set foot on the country. The people are simply glad to see tourist or anybody who is a foreigner. Everybody from the holiday reps to thsoe who work in the agencia de viajes knows adequate English to communicate with us. As a Humanities student in one of the University here in New York we were encourage to document and write essays about the structures used in a certain country or place. So, when my father announced that he will have a conference in Spain and he will bring my mother along with him, I beg my way to tag along with them. I promise them that I would pay my daily expenses as I tour the place. Of course, I said it with my fingers crossed.

As we dropped off at the Malaga airport. This is the international airport that service Costa del Sol. There are now so many low cost airlines that are available in Malaga. Malaga is one of the cities in Costa del Sol. The transportation from Malaga international airport to Costa del Sol are so many that boarding one is not a problem. From the airport we took the train.

Then we checked in one of the hotels located near the Malaga Centro train station. The conference then would start the next day. We arrived early in the afternoon, so we spend the time resting and unpacking our luggage. The rest of the time is spent in front of the map and getting to know the place.

I am so glad to find out that our hotel is just a few minutes walk from most of the attractions in Costa del Sol. I plan to visit most of the structures. Well, my parents didn’t allow me to venture all on my own even though it is safe to. So, my mom and I became buddies in touring Costa del Sol. We entered the Cathedral that very day and felt so very small being in one of its premises. It is a structure full of heavy stones and big structures. I chose to write an essay on this structure for it is a very intimidating building yet a fascinating masterpiece. After taking pictures and forming the outline of my essay that took me a very long four hours. We decided to go back to the hotel and eat there.

Our next stop is to visit the Picasso Museum. This is the place where the paintings of Picasso the famous painter and sculptor were displayed. The painting Femme aux bras impressed me. Indeed the painter is a genius.

Whatever is our reason to visit Costa del Sol we surely wouldn’t miss the series of beach resort and under the activities under the sun like swimming and diving. There a lot to see here at Costa del Sol from sunrise to sunset. Activities fit all kinds of race and personalities. You should see the place as the sun sets down. I don’t have the words how to describe the magnificence of it. I am at lost for word on how to describe this place. It is a very ideal place to retire on or to stay forever. Especially for old people who wants peace and tranquility. Even though Costa del Sol receives so many tourists all the year round there are still quiet places that you can visit. Costa del Sol is a perfect place for two retired old people to hold hands and walk in the pavement. Or just spread a blanket under a shade on a quiet beach and talk about good old days. From sunset to sunrise Costa del Sol is a perfect haven to live forever.

Some of the foreigners are not satisfied with the place they are living right now because of some significant reasons. And most of these people are living in the other side of the world. Migrating indeed to another country is not that bad and it is just a matter of choice. Flocking to another place or country is a great challenge for you to experience the new trends of life and the culture as well. Migrating to other places is truly difficult, we need some assurances that the property you will be living is secure or perhaps the residents itself living there is approachable and friendly who is always there ready to help you when you be asking for help. However, there are some of those who wanted to migrate that are still doubtful because they are thinking that they might have difficulties in looking for a new job. If that would be the case, you should ask permission from their government if you really wanted to work in certain places because it is hard to locate for a better job if you don’t have a permit from their government.

Costa del Sol is one of the islands found within the country of Spain. The ideal island for tourists who wanted to unwind and relax from the harsh work they have. The Island of Costal del Sol is one of the best and ideal islands to live with. You can buy awesome real estate in this island. This place is one of the amazing islands in Spain that several of tourist people chose as their holiday hub especially during summer. American people love the weather of Costa del Sol because it has a lot of sun compared to their place; visiting Costal del Sol will be an exciting event to those who love beaches. Tourists who truly want peaceful place that could make them relax should not dare miss this place. Some of the tourists bring their love ones to have fun fishing and boating in the place. They usually stay in the Island only for weeks but mostly they live for a long time having their own business and live with their own house. Foreigners like to live and buy real estate here in Costa del Sol because it has a graceful environment as well as the weather.

Purchasing a real estate or buying properties nearby the beach is a good suggestion for those who love to feel the heat of the sun and the wave of the sea. Some of the big village in Costa del Sol has a first-class setting. Costa del Sol is different from the other real estate because the equipment that they used for making a house is all modern and the style is different. The island of Costa del Sol is abundant of sea foods such as big fish, crabs, lobster and etc. Tourist will truly love to eat this kind of cuisine; though it is dramatically expensive but it is truly palatable and worthy to eat.

I have been born and living in New York City all my life. Both of my parents are all of Spanish descent coming from the warm Mediterranean coastline of Costa del Sol. They emigrated here in New York City long before they conceived me, looking for that American dream. And they have found it and they have been successful.

A few years after I was born, they keep on telling me stories about Costa del Sol, their hometown. They always say that the food there is great and people there live long lives unlike here in Manhattan or the Bronx where people just pass out at the age of 17, high on Valium. According to my Pop and Mom, people in Costa del Sol and the whole Mediterranean coastline of Spain are living longer lives because they have very rural and coastal traditions. Long before Atkins and South Beach were a fad here in the United States, my parents and my grandparents have strictly adhered to a Mediterranean diet which consists of fresh picks from the Mediterranean either sautéed or grilled with olive oil. Olive oil is said to be the healthiest cooking oil in the world because of its low fat content.

Pop and Mom also mentioned that when you dine out at seafood restaurants in their place in Costa del Sol, you yourself will pick the lobster or the fish swimming out in the aquarium and you have to wait for almost an hour for your food to be cooked. Pop and Mom said that patience is a far more prudent virtue than the fast food lifestyle in the West where food served usually has high calories. It reminds me of the documentary Super Size Me which made me literally puke.

Pop and Mom also mentioned that if you like meat, they also have very yummy lamb meat but low cholesterol and uric content which they process as tapas. To maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle, top everything off with sherry. Now that I’m on a student exchange program in Madrid, I cannot help but experience all of these foods within one semester in Spain. During weekends, I’ll make sure I’ll be available to visit my grandparents on both sides once I’m there in Spain.

As an economics student in one of the colleges in New York, I think now is the sensible time for people to travel, binge, and shop and spend. For instance, I’ll be boarding an Iberian Airlines flight from La Guardia to Madrid. I’ll be contributing to the Spanish economy for that because Iberian Airlines is registered under Spain. When I’ll be paying my boarding lodge at the University of Madrid, I’ll again be contributing to the Spanish economy. Even when I’m still a student, I am proud that I can contribute in my own little ways to help maintain economic stability of my parents’ homeland, Spain.
